P.S. I'm on the verge of needing to start wearing maternity clothes (either from excessive gas or from my ever-expanding uterus). I hate to buy new maternity clothes for such a relatively short amount of time, and I'm a bit too busy to scour Houston for good, used stuff (school starts s-o-o-n!). If you happen to have a box of maternity clothes that you aren't using and would be willing to lend to me, please e-mail me! I will gladly pay for shipping. I'm 5'7" and I used to wear a size 6/8 or medium.

YAY! I'm so happy to hear your little one's heartbeat! If you haven't heard of this already, I highly suggest a Bella Band. You can find them online or in some maternity stores. (In fact, I saw them at Target in the maternity section a few weeks ago.) It's basically just a band that helps you extend the wear of your regular pants a bit longer. It helped get me through that awkward belly-too-big-but-everything-else-still-the-same-size stage.
ReplyDeleteWELL, THAT SOUNDS A-OK TO ME!!! CONGRATS! WHAT A RELIEF!
ReplyDeleteawesome news! congrats! i am feeling you on the clothing issue. i cant stand to get maternity clothes now, but i cant fit into my regular clothes!
ReplyDeleteDresses are the best "maternity" clothes. I hated maternity clothes - do NOT go to "motherhood maternity" and buy expensive ugly clothes you will never wear again. I went to Francesca's (there are 5 in houston) the clothes are reasonable and I could wear the dresses during all stages of pregnacy, post-partum, and now! The best part is you can let it all hang out under the dress
ReplyDeleteI agree about the bella band! it's the best thing i've ever bought
ReplyDeletei'm at about 30 weeks and i still wear mine! (i have yet to buy anything maternity which is beyond awesome)
i did get the tank top one too because i felt it was a little more secure
Yay!!!! (extra exclamation points certainly warranted)
ReplyDeleteSending more and more good wishes your way! I'm so excited that everything is ok :)
ReplyDeletesuch a sweet sound!
ReplyDeletebefore the bellaband you can also do the *hairtie* trick: loop a hairtie thru the button hole of your pants and then around the button-->voila! no need to button up your pants! [now you just need shirts long enough to cover that!]
It warmed my heart to hear that strong and steady heartbeat! I'm so glad all is well Sara.
ReplyDeleteGlad it was just a scare. It's good to hear that heartbeat.
ReplyDeleteYAY!!! Great news and how exciting to hear the heartbeat!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats! :)
ReplyDeleteI breathed a sigh of relief to hear such a beautiful sound!

ReplyDeleteI can't hear the video from work, but it sounds great. I'm glad you can breath a sigh of relief.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rest of your pregnancy.
At around five months I finally needed some maternity things. I went everywhere I could think of and hated EVERYTHING. In desperation I went into Delias and walked out with tons of clothes. I bought everything they had that had a loose fitting belly, which was a lot. The baby doll fit is super popular right now and at eight months, I can still wear them all. I plan on wearing them for postpartum and even beyond. I've been into Motherhood Maternity twice; the first time I was so disappointed but the second time they had a ton of new stuff and a huge sale going on so I walked out with a nice "business" outfit for pretty cheap.
ReplyDeleteYay!
ReplyDeleteE-bay is a great place to find used maternity clothes too! I found the best strategy was to look for auctions that were lots of several items each(saves on shipping.)
ReplyDeleteSo glad you got to hear a healthy heartbeat. :)
congrats!
