Book Recommendation: First Light



I've been reading more about climate change lately (which is definitely contributing to my anxiety about the state of the world). In my search for materials, I came across a great YA fiction book called First Light by Rebecca Stead. If you're looking for something quick and easy, I highly recommend it! (It's not nearly as depressing as reading about climate change...)

    I might have to check this out. Have you read The Hate U Give? It's another YA book on the topic of a serious social justice issue, and is wonderfully written.

    I will definitely check it out! I'm tutoring a bunch of 6th grade girls right now, so I need some good recommendations in my repertoire!

I promise I am open to feedback and truly appreciate hearing others' insights into my choices (it's like free therapy!), but please say it in the same way you would say it if we were sitting across from each other at brunch or next to each other on a park bench while our children play.
