A New Game to Add to Our Collection

My best friend got me two new games for my birthday. A group of us played one of the games tonight: Snatch It.

Here's how it works:
  1. You start with a bunch of Scrabble-like tiles and turn them face down in a central pile.
  2. Each player takes a turn flipping over a tile.
  3. When someone can make a word with at least three tiles, s/he says the word, grabs the tiles, and sets up the word in front of him/her.
  4. At any time, a player can grab one of the tiles from the middle and use it to make a new word using someone else's words (hence the "snatch it" title).
We played two rounds and had a pretty fun time. I'm always on the lookout for new games...

  1. You would love Bananagrams!!! Same idea - you have tiles all face down but each player gets a set number of tiles to themselves. The rest stay in the middle. Then you flip all your tiles over and make your own words cross-word style. When all your tiles are used up, you say "peel" and everyone grabs a letter from the center. This goes on until someone uses all available tiles. It's crazy fun!

I promise I am open to feedback and truly appreciate hearing others' insights into my choices (it's like free therapy!), but please say it in the same way you would say it if we were sitting across from each other at brunch or next to each other on a park bench while our children play.
