Halloween Update

 From Etsy

After pondering the grape idea for several days (thank you for your suggestions!), I realized that I should probably factor in comfort a little more for little Henry's Halloween costume. Knowing my little boy, I don't think he'll be comfortable with little spheres sticking out all over him (he likes to sit down to eat--frequently).

I went back to thinking about his favorite things. Food is at the top. Behind grapes, he loves strawberries. A quick google search produced several adorable images:

I think the last picture might be my favorite. I love the way the strawberry shape is maintained.

At this point, I think a trip to the fabric store is in order!

Good point! I can't imagine that being comfortable either. The strawberry costumes are adorable though.

I really like that you try to choose something that Henry likes. I want to do the same for my Olive but all I can think of is our cat (kinda boring) or music (how would I even do that?)

I am so glad you love Halloween as much as I do. I am already planning Fall activities and decorations, and my family/friends/colleagues think it is a bit nutty because it's only August 1st! :)

So cute! Might I recommend looking into making it out of eco-felt. They sell it by the yard at Joann – it’s inexpensive, easy to work with, and just stiff enough to hold a good shape (but not so stiff that the little dude won’t be able to sit and eat!). It’s my favorite fabric for Halloween costumes.

I love the shape of the strawberry in the last one, but the collar and hat in the first pic is SO CUTE!

Yes, Dracy! That's exactly what I'm thinking. The tights and shape of the bottom one, the collar of the top ones (although I love the hat, I'm not sure Henry would wear it).
